AIHD offers the Master of Primary Health Care Management program (MPHM), the only international one year intensive program of its kind in the world. This demanding, accelerated program emphasizes the development of managerial and leadership skills for medical and paramedical public health care professionals from all over the world, especially Asia. PHC development is recognized as an appropriate channel for public health service in the improvement of existing human resources and making use of appropriate technology and community participation. Since 1986, AIHD has produced 544 graduates of the program from 33 countries, currently working as PHC leaders towards the common goals of efficient and effective health services and improving the quality of life.

To qualify for graduation, the participants must complete all course work and thesis. For the MPHM degree, 36 credit hours and a GPA at least 3.00 are required.
