On 10 August 2016, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, organized the open seminar on the research project entitled “Screening and brief intervention for prevention of intimate partner violence in pregnant woman in primary care facilities in Nakhorn Pathom Province, Thailand”. Prof. Dr. Supa Pengpid, the director of AIHD, presented the research result to the lecturers, researchers and academic staff. The participants and researcher discussed the results and exchanged the experiences.
The ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD) is proud to announce that the “Journal of Public Health and Development (JPHD)”, ISSN : 1905-1387 has been accepted and approved by the ACI Steering Committee on September 10, 2015, to be included in the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) database.

On 12 November 2015, the research section of ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, organized the national conference of research presentation on “The Intregrated Research Program on the Holistic Care Model Development for the Elderly” (Phase II) at Boonsiri meeting room, AIHD. Asst. Prof. Dr. Apa Puckpinyo, Deputy Director for Academic Services, has launched a conference and clarify the objectives of the research project. The conference offers an integrated research paradigm: driven elderly by the communities from four sub-districts comprising of Thung Khang and Phra Pathom Chedi in Nakhon Pathom province, Pakphraek and Nong Krang in Kanchanaburi Province. Moreover, this conference had the public communication platform for all stakeholders and participants to ask questions and a summary of research project presentation to extend the benefits to other communities.
The research project entitled “The Intregrated Research Program on the Holistic Care Model Development for the Elderly” (Phase II) is a collaboration project between six institutions of Mahidol University consisting of ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Institute of Nutrition, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Institute for Population and Social Research together with a group of elderly and volunteer leaders from four sub-districts. The collaboration is to develop a model of care and the health of elderly by developing a holistic well-being of the elderly for continuing and sustainable.

This project was collaborated with 6 institutes and faculties of Mahidol University, they were ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Institute of Population and Social Research, Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Institute of Nutrition, Faculty of Nursing and Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.
May 21, 2015 all instructors and researchers visited to Pakpraek Kanchanaburi to interview 37 local people in this community about elderly activities development and elder people situation to improve the quality of elderly in this area and will be a model to develop many communities nearby.
