On 29-30 September 2018, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University led by Assoc. Prof. Dr.Jiraporn Chompikul, Deputy Director for Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aroonsri Mongkolchati, MPHM Program Director, and team organized the Friendship & Cultural Exchange Camp and Mahidol Core Values. This activity aims to exchange students’ culture and tradition and also encourages friendship between the 33th students, faculty members and staff at Sunset Marbella Beach Resort, Sattahip District, Chonburi province.
There were fourteen young creative students from 5 diverse countries: Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, South Sudan and Thailand. They gathered together to participate in this camp. During two day activities, the students would be able to learn from each other in culture, history and arts, shared their experiences, created friendships and increased understanding. They also took an important part in Mahidol Core Values which led by professional instructors and AIHD staff in order to help students to farther develop their talents. There were various activities such as folk dance, music, cross cultural events including natural conservation by releasing blue swimming crabs back to the sea and waste separation.
